Melbourne Recital Centre, 2019
SKIN in collaboration with sound artist Jannah Quill. Commissioned by Kate Disher Quill (creator of EARSHOT) and Musicians for Hearing. Performance and panel discussion at Melbourne Recital Centre 2019.
Skin is an immersive performance piece that harnesses movement and spatial sub bass vibration to question the way our bodies respond to and feel sound. Considering our skin as a listening device, it draws on everyday moments of Deaf experience to shift our perspective of listening as a solely audio practice.
